Evaluation: Question 5 - How did you attract/address your audience?

The main objective of my Media Product was to attract an audience. Without an audience my Media Product wouldn't had been developed in the way it was. This is because my inspiration, props, ideas and locations were all formulated from my target audience's expectations.
Therefore, to attract my target audience, I followed the codes and conventions they expected from my product such as, the 'chav' stereotype that my audience can associate with there own lives. Moreover, the isolated location is an iconic location that my audience would like to see but would never see for themselves in real life. Therefore, they are attracted to my product because they wanted to see what that location is like and portrayed. Furthermore, the victim in my Media Product depicts the social group 'Trendie' which is one of the most popular social group to date. So when my actor portrays them, they feel my product relates to them directly.

After multiple interviews with my target audience, I have recieved postive feedback and learned many different ways in which my product shows strong strengths. For instnace, many people were easily aware of my product's genre becasue of the intimidating colours such as red and black. Moreover, the dark lighting and discordant music was a common feature that reinforced the genre too. Although my audience said it was a strong product becasue it created an enigma, used good effects and music, my audience feedback still had some negatives. Common cons of my product was the dark lighting being too dark and the music being too loud. However, the majority of my audience didn't suggest any other improvments and said they would buy my product in a shop or go see it at the cinema.

Therefore, I feel my audience feedback has been successful, but if I was to re-make my product again, I would make sure I use better lighting equipment in order to improve the quality of film. I woudl also use a greater pace of editing and sound when the antagonist eppears. This would hen make the action have a greater impact on the audience. Furthermore, I would use a camera of greater quality becasue target audience's like to watch films in great quality these days. However, everything seems to be ideal for my target audience so overall I am pleased with my product.
